Freemasonry in Argentina is undergoing a paradigm shift, moving away from historical secrecy toward a role as a school of citizenship and free thought. Since 2008, the institution has transitioned from absolute secrecy to being a discrete organization, aiming to distance itself from political persecution and false narratives.

This shift has facilitated new institutional dialogues, such as meetings between Masonic representatives and Catholic bishops in Santa Fe to discuss constitutional reform. The organization currently emphasizes the capacity to listen to differing viewpoints and combat hate speech or dogmatism as essential requirements for membership.
