Freeths appoints John Jones as Chief Technology Officer

UK law firm Freeths has appointed John Jones as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead the firm’s technology strategy and digital transformation efforts. Jones will oversee operations across the firm’s 12 UK offices, focusing on developing secure, resilient, and future-ready technology platforms to enhance client experience and operational efficiency.

Jones brings over 30 years of experience in technology and professional services. He previously served as CTO at Forvis Mazars and held senior technology roles at BDO. His expertise includes large-scale transformation programs, enterprise platforms such as Microsoft and Workday, and the implementation of emerging technologies like AI.

National Managing Partner Karl Jansen stated that the appointment is vital to the firm’s ongoing growth, noting that technology is central to how the firm supports its people and operates as a modern legal entity.
