Freeths reports 83% revenue growth over five years

The UK law firm Freeths has reported record financial results for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2026. The firm's turnover rose by more than 12% to £187.6 million, while profits increased by 8.2% despite a significant investment programme. This marks the firm's fourth consecutive year of double-digit growth, with total turnover increasing by 83% over the last five years.

Growth was driven by high demand in the Corporate, Employment, and Planning & Environment sectors, which saw turnover increases of 24%, 33%, and 27% respectively. Key drivers included advice on private equity, mergers and acquisitions, workplace reform, and major infrastructure projects.

The firm's performance was supported by work for major clients such as Aldi, Mercedes-Benz, and Centrica, as well as involvement in high-value projects like the £136 billion Sellafield decommissioning programme. Regional growth was noted across the UK, with particularly high turnover rises in Glasgow (43%), London (22%), and Bristol (21%).
