Freezer Defrosting and Oven Glass Cleaning Tricks

A simple baking‑soda powder applied with a microfiber cloth can be rubbed on the walls and drawers of a freezer after a full thaw, slowing the re‑accumulation of frost. The method recommends turning off the appliance, removing food, using a tray or towels to catch meltwater, cleaning with warm soapy water, drying thoroughly, then spreading a small amount of the soda powder on a cloth and wiping the interior.

For oven glass, a thin metal hanger bent into a small hook can be wrapped with a microfiber cloth dampened with warm water and a little vinegar or mild detergent. The tool is slipped through ventilation slots in the oven door to reach grime between the panes, allowing the cloth to scrub away oily deposits without dismantling the door. Regular cleaning and avoiding opening the door immediately after baking fatty foods help keep the glass clear longer.
