Freezing temperatures recorded in Santa Rosa and León

Severe winter weather has brought freezing temperatures to parts of Argentina and Spain.

In Santa Rosa, Argentina, the capital of La Pampa, temperatures reached 0.8°C with a wind chill of -3.4°C due to northwest winds. While the morning was frigid, a significant warming trend is expected throughout the week, with temperatures projected to rise to 26°C by Thursday.

In Spain, the province of León recorded some of the lowest temperatures in the country. The Prado Veneiro station in the Babia region registered -1.5°C, marking one of the coldest points in the nation. Other areas in León, such as Villaceid, also saw temperatures drop below zero, contributing to a widespread cold spell across the northern and central parts of the Iberian Peninsula.
