Freiburg hosts contestants for VOX cooking show “Das perfekte Dinner”

The VOX cooking competition “Das perfekte Dinner” is featuring contestants from Freiburg for the week of October 5 to October 9. Five amateur chefs will compete by hosting dinners and receiving scores from their guests.

The week begins with Elise, a 34-year-old special education teacher, hosting a French-themed evening titled “À table!”. Her menu includes Gutedel soup with flambéed shrimp, Bœuf Bourguignon with potato purée, and a traditional chocolate mousse. Elise noted that authentic French mousse au chocolat consists only of dark chocolate and eggs, without the sugar or cream often found in other versions.

Other scheduled hosts for the week include Harry, Jonathan, Olivia, and David, each presenting unique culinary themes ranging from Black Forest specialties to spring-inspired dishes.
