Freiburg police arrest man after fatal knife attack
A 30-year-old German man has been arrested following a fatal knife attack in Freiburg. The victim, a 74-year-old man, was found with stab and cut wounds in a parking lot near a church community center and died at the scene.
Authorities stated that the suspected weapon was recovered near the crime scene. Investigators have found no evidence of a religious motive for the attack.
The suspect is also a primary suspect in a separate knife attack that occurred last Sunday near the city center, where a 29-year-old man was injured. The suspect was apprehended on the evening of the fatal incident following witness statements.
