Freiburg Provides Special Transport for Die Toten Hosen Open‑Air Concert
The German punk band Die Toten Hosen will perform an open‑air concert on 25 July 2026 at the Messegelände in Freiburg. Freiburg’s public‑transport operator VAG is arranging special traffic for attendees: tram line 4 service between the Technical Faculty and the fairgrounds is suspended after noon, with shortened 6‑minute intervals between Vauban and Elsässer Straße, and additional shuttle trams running from 14:17. After the concert, which ends around 23:00, special trains will return passengers from Elsässer Straße toward the city centre. Bus routes 10 and 36 are diverted for the day, and route 22 is rerouted from Bissierstraße to Paduaallee.
A separate Die Toten Hosen concert on 27 June 2026 at the Deutsche Bank Park is already sold out. Tickets are available only through the official resale platform, and the band warns against purchasing from unofficial secondary‑market sites. VIP and hospitality tickets have been closed, and the event includes extensive accessibility measures, with designated wheelchair spaces on the Jürgen‑Grabowski terrace and a partnership with the Barrierefrei initiative to reduce barriers for disabled fans.
