Freiburg to host final 20th anniversary fire protection conference

The 20th anniversary edition of the Fire Protection Technical Conference (Fachtagung Brandschutz) will hold its final 2026 session on November 19 and 20 in Freiburg im Breisgau. Organized by TÜV Saarland Bildung + Consulting GmbH, the 1.5-day event covers a wide range of critical safety topics.

Key agenda items include legal issues regarding fire protection in existing buildings, fire alarm system regulations, and safety signage, including evacuation and rescue plans. The program also addresses inspection requirements for industrial operations and the management of outdated pictograms.

Technical sessions will feature reports on fires in special buildings, water supply and firefighting water retention in industrial construction, and live demonstrations by svt Brandschutz GmbH. Additional topics include updates from VdS standardization committees regarding electrical systems, photovoltaic plants, and charging stations, as well as emergency management for evacuation and AMOK situations.
