Freilassing Federal Police report smuggling and weapons violations
The Federal Police Inspection in Freilassing reported approximately 30 findings during border operations conducted between August 13 and August 16. The enforcement actions involved illegal entries, weapons law violations, human smuggling suspicions, and the execution of arrest warrants.
At the Schwarzbach-Autobahn border crossing, officers detained a 25-year-old French national suspected of human smuggling and weapons violations. He was allegedly traveling with two Turkish nationals to transport them from Austria to France. A baton was discovered in the vehicle.
Additional findings during the period included several weapons law violations, such as a stun gun disguised as a flashlight and unmarked irritant spray devices. Police also identified various drug offenses involving cannabis and amphetamines.
