Freising festival host donates surplus chickens to food bank

During the Senior Day at the Freising Volksfest, festival host Holger Nagl donated approximately 250 surplus chickens to the Freising Tafel food bank.

To ensure all seniors attending the event were well-fed, Nagl’s team prepared 5,500 chickens. After the event, rather than discarding the remaining food, the surplus was collected by the Freising Tafel. Manfred Schimmerer, chairman of the food bank, confirmed that the chickens were frozen and distributed to clients during the following week.
