Freisinger Volksfest preparations underway

Preparations for the upcoming Freisinger Volksfest are entering their final stages. Local officials, including Mayor Monika Schwind, recently met with festival organizers and brewery representatives to coordinate the event. Mayor Schwind, who will participate in the traditional tapping ceremony, has prepared by practicing at the Staatsbrauerei Weihenstephan.

Two local breweries will share the responsibility of serving festival beer. The Hofbrauhaus Freising will handle the first half of the festival, serving approximately 750 hectoliters of beer with an alcohol content of 6.2 percent. Starting September 9, the Bayerische Staatsbrauerei Weihenstephan will take over the service duties.
