Freixenet Iberia: Henkell Freixenet rebrands Spanish unit

Henkell Freixenet has announced a corporate rebranding for its Spanish operations, transitioning from Grup Freixenet to Freixenet Iberia. The company stated the new name honors its origins in the Penedès region and reflects the importance of the Iberian market to the global group.

The change follows Henkell's acquisition of full ownership of the company earlier this year, after purchasing the remaining 50% stake from the Ferrer family and José Luis Bonet. Along with the name change, the corporation is introducing a new global visual identity and the slogan ‘Making life sparkle’, which will be rolled out progressively across international markets.

Henkell Freixenet reported a turnover of 1.25 billion euros in 2025. While the group maintains a diverse portfolio including brands like Segura Viudas, Mionetto, and Alfred Gratien, the Freixenet brand saw a 4% contraction due to factors including drought in the Penedès region, decreased consumption, and tariff uncertainties.
