Fremantle Dockers extend AFL winning streak to 14 games, Cox hailed as underrated defender

Coach Justin Longmuir praised defender Brennan Cox as the most underrated key back after Cox limited Coleman‑Medal leader Ben King to just 1.2 goals and seven possessions in Fremantle's 51‑point victory over the Gold Coast Suns. The win in Perth pushed the Dockers' season winning streak to 14 matches, leaving them two wins clear atop the AFL ladder.

Longmuir also highlighted the return of ruckman Sean Darcy, who recorded 20 hit‑outs, six disposals, two clearances and a goal in his first senior appearance since round 5. The Dockers rested first‑choice ruckman Luke Jackson for part of the game and will look to make it 15 consecutive wins when they face GWS in Canberra next weekend.
