Fremantle players inspired by ‘immortals’ letter ahead of Grand Final

Fremantle forward Michael Frederick has revealed that a letter written by midfielder Andrew Brayshaw continues to serve as a daily source of inspiration for the team. The letter, which was placed in every player's locker several seasons ago, states: ‘The first 22 men to win a premiership at Fremantle will be immortals.’

The Fremantle Dockers are currently one victory away from ending a 32-year premiership drought, with their upcoming Grand Final match against Brisbane scheduled for Saturday. Frederick noted that he looks at the letter every day and emphasized that the team will not take the opportunity for granted.

Frederick’s recent form has been pivotal to the team's progress, including an important goal in the preliminary-final win against Sydney and two goals in the semi-final against Geelong. He also discussed his approach to handling external criticism and social media pressure, stating that he avoids reading negative comments to maintain focus.
