French broadband rivals Sosh and Bouygues shift fiber pricing
Sosh, the low‑cost brand of Orange, raised the monthly price of its Boost Fibre plan for new subscribers to €28.99 on 16 July, up from the launch price of €26.99. The increase does not affect existing customers, and the technical specifications remain unchanged: up to 8 Gb/s download, 2 Gb/s upload and Wi‑Fi 7 without a TV package or contract commitment. The new price puts Boost Fibre against Bouygues Telecom’s B&YOU Pure Fibre, which offers a similar 8 Gb/s fibre service at €24.99.
Ariase’s July 2026 fibre‑box price barometer placed Bouygues Telecom in second place among the four historic operators. Including B&YOU Pure Fibre, Bouygues joins the top tier alongside Free and Sosh at €24.99, while RED by SFR is the cheapest at €22.99. For Bouygues’ main‑line fibre offer with contract, the price is €26.99, still behind Free’s €24.99 and ahead of Orange, SFR and other rivals. The ranking highlights the competitive price landscape for entry‑level fibre without TV decoders in the French market.
