French chef Jeanne Guerard to lead new Inverell hotel bistro

Jeanne Guerard, a 26-year-old French chef with experience in Michelin-starred restaurants, will lead the kitchen at the Australian Hotel’s new bistro in Inverell. The bistro is scheduled to open on September 4.

Originally from Normandy, Guerard trained in Paris under renowned three-star Michelin chef Alain Passard and later worked as a pastry chef at a one-star restaurant in Deauville. After arriving in Australia in November 2023, she worked in Melbourne and traveled through the country before settling in the Inverell region. Her new role aims to combine French culinary influences with seasonal produce and a unique approach to pub dining.
