Cultural heritage events and museum tours scheduled across France

Various cultural and heritage events are scheduled across France, including activities for the 2026 European Heritage Days. In the Paul-Dupuy Museum of Precious Arts, programming includes short films about museum professional work, demonstrations of the magic lantern, and lectures regarding the 19th-century rivalry between engraving and photography.

In Toulon, the Muséum départemental du Var is offering exclusive behind-the-scenes tours of its ongoing renovation project on September 19, 2026. These visits allow the public to observe the work of curators, restorers, and scientists while learning about the museum's future layout and collection protection.

Other regional activities include a genealogy workshop for children in Château-Renault, organized by the municipal media library and departmental archives. In Rezé, heritage celebrations on September 19 and 20 will feature tours of the Manoir de Praud, the Château de la Balinière, and various local landmarks, alongside nature census activities and library presentations.
