French cities' transport networks face summer disruptions

Summer works are causing widespread disruptions on public transport in several French cities. In Tours, tram line A and related roadways remain closed for the rest of August, with detours affecting Place Jean Jaurès, Place Choiseul, the Tonnellé sector, La Riche and Chambray. Additional measures include a temporary one‑way cycle lane on Place Loiseau d’Entraigues and altered bus services on lines 3 and 19. Road traffic on the A10 is also affected, with orange and red alerts for departures and returns during the holiday period.

In Toulouse, the tramway T1 resumes service on 13 July after nine days of closure for preparatory works on the future airport line. At the same time, a section of metro line B will be suspended from 13 July to 30 August to enable connections to the planned extension toward Labège, scheduled for 2027. Substitution buses and a “Navette Direct” shuttle are provided to maintain service for impacted stations.
