French citizens show high trust in non-profit associations
Preliminary findings from a new trust barometer, to be fully released in December, indicate that French citizens place high levels of confidence in the non-profit sector. According to data from Don en Confiance, associations and foundations are highly regarded, with 63% of respondents expressing trust.
Consumer protection associations are particularly favored, gaining support from over three-quarters of the population, likely driven by concerns regarding purchasing power. Local authorities also maintain significant trust compared to national political institutions and national media. This preference for local and associative entities suggests a desire for proximity and protection amidst socio-economic uncertainty.
