French collectives call for protests regarding Gaza and West Bank

Protest organizers in France are calling for demonstrations to express solidarity with the Palestinian people and demand action regarding the situation in Gaza and the West Bank.

In Dijon, the Paix 21 collective has scheduled a gathering for Saturday, August 15, at Place Darcy. The group is calling for increased action from the French government and the European Union, specifically requesting the application of international law and the imposition of sanctions against Israel. The collective highlighted the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, citing UNICEF data regarding civilian casualties, including children.

In Nîmes, a solidarity rally is planned for Friday, August 14, on Avenue Feuchères. Protesters are calling for an end to violence in Gaza and the West Bank, the imposition of sanctions, and the suspension of the EU-Israel cooperation agreement. The organizers also expressed concerns regarding the future of UNRWA and the impact of international policy on Palestinian refugees.
