French comedy 'Fammi il piacere' tackles female orgasm and marital intimacy

The French comedy Fammi il piacere (original title Pour le plaisir) is directed by Reem Kherici, who also appears in the film as the couple’s sexologist. It stars Alexandra Lamy as Fanny and François Cluzet as Thomas, a couple married for twenty years.

The story unfolds after Fanny confesses that she has never experienced an orgasm. Thomas embarks on a humorous and reflective quest to understand and fulfill her sexual needs, exploring therapy, discussion groups and the role of sex toys such as the Womanizer. The film blends comedy with a serious look at communication and female pleasure. It opened in Italian cinemas on 3 September through Eagle Pictures.
