French companies face rising business travel risks and climate measurement gaps

Recent reports highlight growing challenges for French companies regarding employee safety during business travel and climate change adaptation. According to the SAP Concur Global Business Travel Survey, 86% of travel managers believe their organizations are not doing enough to protect employees on missions. This comes as 67% of global business travelers express hesitation to travel due to geopolitical tensions and conflict zones. Additionally, cyber risk has emerged as a primary concern, with 44% of travel managers identifying sensitive data theft during foreign travel as a major threat.

In terms of environmental strategy, a Capgemini Research Institute report indicates that 68% of French executives now prioritize climate adaptation, up from 56% the previous year. While companies are investing approximately 1.04% of their turnover into sustainability initiatives, a significant gap remains in measurement. Approximately 85% of French companies struggle to quantify the actual financial impact of climate risks on their operations, and only 15% have evaluated how climate disruptions affect their business activities.
