French companies plan new permanent hires through 2026

A study conducted by recruitment firm Robert Half indicates that 29% of French companies plan to hire new employees on permanent contracts (CDI) by the end of 2026. Despite an uncertain economic environment, employers are maintaining positive recruitment forecasts.

In addition to permanent roles, 28% of recruiters are considering temporary staffing, while 24% plan to utilize project-based work to meet specific business needs. The demand is increasingly focused on specialized skills that support growth and productivity.

The IT and technology sector is leading the demand, with 32% of companies planning to expand their permanent teams. Key areas for recruitment through the second half of 2026 include cybersecurity, IT project management, accounting, risk management, compliance, and administrative support.
