French concerts cancelled as rain hits Bayonne and wildfires threaten Bordeaux

Singer Mika was forced to end his show at the Bayonne arena after only a few songs on 25 July when heavy rain made the venue unsafe, leaving thousands of fans to leave and prompting ticket refunds with no rescheduled date announced.

Around the same time, French death‑metal band Gorod cancelled its Panic Fest set near Bordeaux, citing the nearby wildfires that have evacuated more than 110,000 residents and threatened members' families. The band linked the decision to its upcoming album *The Ember Gone*, which addresses the impact of megafires.

Both cancellations underscore how extreme weather and climate‑driven emergencies are affecting live‑music events across France.
