French Cyclist Paul Seixas Holds Fourth Place in Tour de France

Paul Seixas, a 19‑year‑old French rider born in Lyon with Portuguese ancestry, has emerged as a standout talent in professional cycling. After early wins at the Tour du Pays Basque and the Flèche Wallonne, he entered the 2026 Tour de France and, by the third week, sits fourth overall in the general classification.

Seixas is supported by veteran teammate Nicolas Prodhomme, who described his role in the mountains and praised Seixas' form. Prodhomme, 29, said he feels strong and is confident the French rider will continue to improve in the coming stages. The duo's performance has generated excitement among French fans hoping for a new Tour victory after a long drought since Bernard Hinault.

Seixas' rapid rise and current podium‑contending position have made him a focal point of media coverage, highlighting his potential to become the next French Tour champion.
