French fencer Sara Balzer wins silver at World Championships in Hong Kong

At the World Fencing Championships in Hong Kong, France’s women’s sabre squad secured two medals. Sara Balzer, the 31‑year‑old Olympic silver medallist, took silver after losing 15‑10 to Germany’s Larissa Eifler in the final. Her compatriot Toscane Tori earned bronze by defeating opponents including Japan’s Yuina Kaneko and Spain’s Lucia Martin‑Portugues.
