French Film Festival in Maracaibo prepares for 40th anniversary

The French Film Festival in Maracaibo has concluded its retrospective poster exhibition at the Centro de Bellas Artes, marking the transition toward its 40th anniversary edition. Organized by the French Embassy in Venezuela, the Alianza Francesa de Maracaibo, and the Centro de Bellas Artes, the event serves as a prelude to a cinematic cycle scheduled to begin on September 10.

The upcoming anniversary program will feature sixteen films screened across various venues, including the Teatro Bellas Artes, the Centro de Arte de Maracaibo Lía Bermúdez, the María Calcaño State Public Library, and the Alianza Francesa headquarters. The official opening will highlight the film "Le Répondeur."

Alongside the film festival preparations, the Centro de Bellas Artes inaugurated three aesthetic proposals: the Bienal Zulia Imagina, the Bienal Mérida Imagina, and a multi-format work titled "Fractales" by artist Marlon Medina.
