French film ‘The Richest Woman in the World’ to screen in Nova Gradiška

The French satirical drama ‘The Richest Woman in the World’ (La femme la plus riche du monde) is scheduled for a screening at the Dom kulture in Nova Gradiška on Thursday, September 10, at 19:00. Directed by Thierry Klifa, the film stars Isabelle Huppert and Laurent Lafitte.

The plot follows Marianne Farrère, an eccentric billionaire whose life is centered on the reputation of her cosmetics empire. Her world is disrupted after meeting Pierre-Alain, a younger writer and photographer. As their relationship involves significant financial gifts, Marianne’s daughter files a lawsuit alleging the exploitation of a vulnerable person. The film, which premiered at Cannes, explores themes of extreme luxury and human fragility.
