French food establishments closed following sanitary inspections
Authorities in France have ordered the administrative closure of two food establishments following sanitary inspections that revealed significant hygiene violations.
In Saint-Maur-des-Fossés (Val-de-Marne), the bakery L’Atelier d’Aurore was closed following an inspection on August 12, 2026. Officials identified failures regarding hygiene, food traceability, and pest control. The establishment can only reopen once corrective measures are implemented and validated by authorized personnel.
In Sarcelles (Val-d'Oise), the supermarket Les Halles Exotiques was ordered to close on August 17, 2026. Inspectors from the Direction départementale de protection des populations (Ddpp 95) reported a grave and imminent danger to public health.
