European football clubs active in late transfer window moves

European football clubs are actively managing squad changes as the transfer window nears its close.

Stade Rennais is working to reduce its squad size following several signings. Breel Embolo has joined Atlanta United for approximately 17 million euros. The club is also seeing progress in discussions for Seko Fofana to return to FC Porto on loan, while defender Lilian Brassier is a target for Eintracht Frankfurt in a deal potentially valued between 10 and 12 million euros. Additionally, Rennes continues to search for a new center-forward.

In France, AS Saint-Étienne is navigating potential departures, specifically regarding striker Lucas Stassin. The club has identified Adriano Bertaccini from Anderlecht as a potential replacement, with the Belgian club requesting a 5 million euro permanent transfer. While Saint-Étienne expressed interest in Sékou Mara, the player has reportedly declined due to a desire to remain in the top flight.

In Belgium, Antwerp is seeking to bolster its midfield following the departure of Jules Ahoka. The club is renewing interest in Serbian international Nemanja Gudelj, who is currently a free agent after leaving Sevilla. While Gudelj's experience is highly valued, negotiations may hinge on meeting his salary requirements.
