PSG transfer news: Mbaye negotiations stall with Liverpool

Paris Saint-Germain is navigating complex transfer negotiations as the summer window nears its close. A primary point of contention involves 18-year-old Senegalese winger Ibrahim Mbaye. While Mbaye has reportedly reached personal terms with Liverpool, a significant financial gap remains between the clubs. PSG is seeking a fee between €70 million and €80 million, whereas Liverpool is reportedly unwilling to exceed €50 million to €60 million. Bradley Barcola is also a target for Liverpool, though negotiations for him have faced similar hurdles.

Regarding existing squad members, PSG has indicated that defender Illya Zabarnyi and goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier are expected to remain with the club this season. Despite recent scrutiny over their performances and competition for starting roles—such as Chevalier competing with Matvey Safonov—the club does not currently plan to facilitate their departures.
