French football clubs start preseason friendlies

Trélissac FC opened its preseason with a friendly against Bayonne on July 29 in the Landes, after seven training sessions. Coach Mohamed Akki noted the difficulty of facing a National 1 side and outlined the squad rotation for the upcoming matches.

Meanwhile, all 18 Ligue 1 clubs have published their summer friendly schedules ahead of the league’s restart on August 21. The calendars list a series of preparatory games against domestic and international opponents, detailing dates and venues for each club as they gear up for the new season.
