French Football Federation allocates 2.2 million euros to amateur clubs
The French Football Federation (FFF) has announced a 2.2 million euro aid package to support approximately 12,000 amateur clubs across France. The initiative, announced by President Philippe Diallo, aims to mitigate the impact of rising fuel prices on travel costs for teams and parents involved in organizing nearly one million matches annually.
Financial assistance will be distributed based on club size. According to General Director Jean-François Vilotte, clubs with fewer than 100 members will receive 100 euros, while larger organizations can receive up to 500 euros.
The decision follows a significant financial turnaround for the FFF. For the 2025-2026 fiscal year, the federation reported revenues exceeding 300 million euros and a net profit of over 4 million euros. This marks a recovery from the previous season, which saw losses of more than 8 million euros. The improved financial standing is attributed to new commercial partnerships and a renewed equipment manufacturer contract.
