French infrastructure targeted by series of DDoS cyberattacks

Between October 15 and 17, 2026, several hacking groups claimed responsibility for Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks targeting French administration, defense, and energy sectors.

Targeted organizations include EDF, Eurenco, Renault Trucks, the SGDSN, various local authorities, and maritime transport actors. Specific disruptions were reported involving Corsica Linea, the city of Saint-Malo, and the drone company XSun. Three primary groups have been identified in connection with these claims: NoName057(16), Dark Storm, and CyberTroll Team. One of these groups reportedly offers DDoS attacks as a commercial service.

These activities follow previous reports of suspicious digital behavior from Russian-speaking actors and cyber incidents affecting retail equipment in France, Belgium, the Netherlands, and the United States.
