French local authorities address ecological transition and climate risks

Local authorities in France are organizing key events to address ecological transitions and climate risks. In Lille, ADEME will host a press conference on September 22, 2026, focused on the ecological transition within territories. The event, held in partnership with the city of Lille and the European Metropolis of Lille, aims to share solutions and innovative initiatives to improve quality of life through sustainable transformation.

In Mayotte, a conference-debate is scheduled for September 16, 2026, at the PER de Coconi to address climate change adaptation and natural risks. Organized by the CNFPT delegation in Mayotte alongside the University of Mayotte, the session targets local officials and territorial managers. The discussion will integrate scientific expertise from organizations such as Météo-France and the BRGM to help local structures better anticipate seismic-volcanic crises and climate projections.
