French man travels 1,000 km by taxi after ankle fracture in Spain
A French family traveling to Galicia, Spain, to observe a solar eclipse experienced an unexpected mishap. Lionel, a 53-year-old IT professional from Commenailles in the Jura region, suffered a fractured ankle after a fall on the rugged terrain at Vixía Herbeira.
Due to his injury and inability to drive, Lionel had to undertake a journey of more than 1,000 kilometers by taxi to return to his home in France with his leg in a cast.
