French media figures discuss career paths and political offers
Journalist Michel Denisot revealed during an appearance on ‘Buzz TV’ that he was once offered a position as Minister of Culture. The proposal, made by the La République en Marche party in 2020, was declined by the 81-year-old. Denisot stated he refused the role due to concerns regarding the permanence of political commitment, noting a preference for his media career. The position was eventually filled by Roselyne Bachelot.
Separately, CNews presenter Gauthier Le Bret discussed the media emergence of Louise Montangon. Le Bret noted that he was the first to host Montangon on his program, ‘100 % Politique’, after she was identified in a documentary. Montangon, a student representative at the University of Bordeaux, has since gained public attention for her interactions with political figures.
