French Ministry and Film Academy launch César des Lycéens

The Académie des Arts et Techniques du Cinéma and the French Ministry of National Education and Youth have partnered to implement the ‘César des Lycéens’. This initiative aims to engage younger generations with French cinema and encourage creative expression.

As part of the program, high school students (terminale classes) will select a winner from five films nominated in the ‘Best Film’ category. Teachers will facilitate film screenings—ideally in cinemas, with costs covered by the Ministry and Entraide du cinéma et des spectacles—followed by discussions to allow students to share their perspectives. Educational resources and professional interventions are also provided to support the learning process.
