Model scout linked to Jeffrey Epstein found dead in Paris suburb
Daniel Siad, a 69‑year‑old modeling scout who was identified in the declassified U.S. Justice Department Epstein files more than 2,000 times, was found dead on Monday night in his home in Colombes, a suburb of Paris. French prosecutors in Nanterre opened an investigation into his death and ordered an autopsy; early reports suggest a heart attack may be involved. Siad was under a criminal investigation for alleged rape, sexual assault and human‑trafficking offenses, with at least five women accusing him of assault and trafficking. He consistently denied the accusations, maintaining that his relationship with the convicted financier Jeffrey Epstein was strictly professional. His lawyer, Meyna Arab‑Tigrine, said Siad “never stopped proclaiming his innocence.” Siad’s death follows the earlier deaths of other men connected to Epstein’s network, including model‑agency head Jean‑Luc Brunel, who was found dead in prison in 2022. Authorities continue to examine the circumstances of Siad’s death while the broader Epstein case remains under intense scrutiny.
