French municipalities host community sports festivals

Various French municipalities are hosting sports festivals to encourage community engagement and physical activity.

In Arles, the Office des sports is organizing a sports festival on August 30 at the Esplanade Charles de Gaulle. Approximately forty sports clubs will offer initiations and demonstrations in disciplines including volleyball, tennis, basketball, athletics, swimming, rugby, boxing, and fencing. The event aims to provide a convivial atmosphere for residents to discover new activities for the upcoming season.

In L’Aigle (Orne), the city is hosting its biennial sports festival on September 5. The event features demonstrations, games, climbing walls, and inflatable structures. Local officials, including Deputy for Sports Mehdi Afif, emphasized the goal of making sports a core part of the city's identity and promoting inclusivity through health-focused and disability-accessible programs.
