French municipalities launch digital literacy workshops
Various municipalities in France are launching digital literacy workshops to help residents improve their technological autonomy.
In Flamanville, ASEPT Normandie and Présence Verte are offering a free eight-session program titled ‘Mes premiers pas numériques’ specifically for retirees aged 55 and older. The workshops, held at the Maison des Associations, cover smartphone and tablet usage, Wi-Fi connectivity, internet browsing, email management, social media, and online administrative procedures.
Similarly, the city of Rezé is hosting bi-monthly workshops at the Maison des services to assist residents with essential digital tasks. The curriculum includes managing healthcare accounts like Ameli.fr, scheduling medical appointments via platforms such as Doctolib, handling CAF accounts, using email, managing computer files, and navigating applications like WhatsApp and Google services.
