French municipalities launch public infrastructure renovations
Municipalities in France are launching renovation projects for public infrastructure to improve energy efficiency and usability.
In Lavérune, the municipality is seeking professionals for the architectural and landscape programming of the Centenaire school group. The project aims to restructure the facility to adapt to new spatial uses, improve thermal and energy performance, and enhance summer comfort. Additionally, the plan includes redesigning the schoolyard by removing impermeable surfaces, increasing vegetation, and creating outdoor learning spaces.
In Moissy-Cramayel, renovation work is set to begin on the Prés-Brûlés gymnasium to address water infiltration and insufficient thermal insulation. The project has a total budget of 1.7 million euros, supported by state and departmental funds. The renovation will utilize bio-sourced insulation materials to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and energy needs. Work is expected to continue until summer 2027, with local sports clubs and students temporarily relocating to other municipal facilities during the construction period.
