French sports leagues see diverse results in rugby, basketball, and ice hockey

French domestic sports leagues saw a variety of results across rugby, basketball, and handball. In rugby union's Top 14, Stade Rochelais secured a significant 38-13 bonus-point victory against ASM Clermont Auvergne. Despite trailing 12-13 at halftime, La Rochelle dominated the second half, a turnaround attributed by captain Grégory Alldritt to strong bench contributions. However, Rochelais manager Ronan O’Gara expressed frustration with the officiating, specifically regarding player safety and the use of video review. Elsewhere in rugby, USAP suffered a heavy 55-25 defeat against Racing 92, drawing criticism from supporters, while Union Bordeaux-Bègles secured a 51-28 win over Lyon.

In basketball, Cholet Basket earned its first Betclic Élite victory with an 85-76 win over Sluc Nancy. In the N2F women's league, Orthez defeated Anglet 56-44, while in the men's National 2, Les Sables d’Olonne dominated US Alençon 4-0. In the men's basketball circuit, Strasbourg defeated Boulazac 87-75, and Hyères-Toulon Var basket narrowly beat La Rochelle 103-97.

In ice hockey, the Boxers de Bordeaux delivered an 8-1 victory against Chamonix in the Ligue Magnus. In handball, Nice's women's team secured a victory against Larvik, positioning them well for European qualification.
