Forecasts predict unprecedented May temperatures in France, with daily highs above 30 °C and possible peaks past 32 °C, prompting the ATP to introduce 10‑minute cooling breaks and the option to suspend play.

Top‑seeded players are reshaping the draw. Two‑time defending champion Carlos Alcaraz withdrew with a wrist injury, leaving Italy’s Jannik Sinner as the clear men’s favourite.
