French President Macron Meets Uzbek Official Saida Mirziyoyeva in Paris

French President Emmanuel Macron received Saida Mirziyoyeva, the 41‑year‑old head of Uzbekistan’s Presidential Administration and daughter of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, at the Élysée Palace. The meeting aimed to deepen France‑Uzbekistan cooperation across strategic sectors.

Mirziyoyeva, a former law graduate who ascended rapidly in her father’s government and commands more than 2.5 million Instagram followers, is viewed as a potential successor to her father, who can remain in power until 2037 under revised term limits. She previously met Ivanka Trump at the 2020 Global Women’s Forum in Dubai. During the Paris visit, both leaders expressed confidence that further joint projects would benefit the two nations.

The encounter highlights France’s interest in strengthening ties with Central Asia and underscores Mirziyoyeva’s rising international profile as a politically connected “nepo baby.”
