French public service workers announce strike for November 5

The Union of Federations of Civil Servants and Associates (UFFA-CFDT) has submitted a strike notice for November 5, 2026. The mobilization targets the three branches of the public service: State, Territorial, and Hospital functions.

Demands include general salary increases applicable to all public agents regardless of status, career revaluation, and increased resources for public services to address demographic and climate challenges.
