French retail brands launch new designer collaborations

Parisian luxury and contemporary retail brands are launching new collaborative experiences. Le Bon Marché has transformed its Salon Aristide, the former office of founder Aristide Boucicaut, into a collectible design space featuring the work of 28-year-old French designer Edgar Jayet. The space is designed to function like a private collector’s home, allowing high-net-worth clients to purchase furniture and lighting or customize pieces through Jayet’s studio.

In a separate retail development, the premium brand Gérard Darel has partnered with the Merci concept store for a new residency. The collaboration, which involves a family connection between the Gerbi brothers, features archival pieces, house signatures, and new products exclusive to Merci, such as leather versions of the Candide shopping bag and a micro-version of the 24H bag.
