French RnB singer Tsew the Kid placed under investigation for marital rape

Paris prosecutors opened a formal investigation in January into French RnB artist Tsew the Kid, accusing him of marital rape against three women and of physical violence toward a fourth. A fifth woman has filed a complaint that has not yet been examined. The singer, whose real name is Tsiry Ralaiarisedy, denies the allegations, telling investigators that all encounters were consensual. He remains under judicial control, which permits him to continue performing and he released a new track, “Laisse‑moi t'aimer,” in June. The alleged offenses span from 2020 to 2024 and reportedly involved the use of the hallucinogenic plant Salvia, forced vaginal and anal penetrations, and attempts at strangulation. His lawyer has urged caution in public discourse about the case.
