French rookie Arthur Gea clinches first ATP title at Los Cabos Open

Arthur Gea, a 21‑year‑old French player ranked 127th in the world, captured his maiden ATP 250 tournament at the Los Cabos Open in Mexico, defeating defending champion Denis Shapovalov of Canada 6‑3, 6‑4 in the final.

The win propels Gea into the top‑100 for the first time, with an expected rise to world No. 81. He joins a short list of players born in 2005 or later to claim an ATP title, becoming the sixth such champion alongside João Fonseca, Jakub Mensik, Rafael Jodar, Lerner Tien and Shang Juncheng.
